1st ISFC Grooming Certification & Competition 2023
This October 5th, in order to enhance skills and elevate industry standards for both competitive and official grooming and hair cutting. This marks Thailand’s inaugural event, under the auspices of the globally recognized ISFC International Society of Feline Cosmetologists Asia, originating from America.
The competition is categorized into 3 levels: Novice, Intermediate, and Professional.
Competition Details and Judging Criteria:
1. Grooming Competition Category: Participants will conduct grooming and prepare a portion of the fur for styling, readying it for the competition. The preparation phase will take 1 hour to showcase their skills.
Judges will evaluate based on the readiness of the cat, techniques for addressing weaknesses, accentuating the cat’s strengths, handling fur while competing, and maximizing the cat’s potential.
2. Clipper Category: This category is divided into 4 levels
2.1 Beginner
2.2 Intermediate
2.3 Open
2.4 Champion
Judging will be based on equipment usage, cat handling, completeness of fur trimming, style pattern, and creative beauty derived from imaginative ideas.
3. Scissors Category: This category is divided into 4 levels:
3.1 Beginner
3.2 Intermediate
3.3 Open
3.4 Champion
Judging will be based on scissor technique, cat handling, participant’s technique for each category, completeness of fur trimming, style pattern, beauty, and proportionality of appearance. Additionally, creativity and achieved style will be taken into consideration.
